Reed Exhibitions has always attached great importance to the protection of intellectual property rights during shows. The company is committed to building credible, sound and orderly business transaction platforms for its customers.
Locally, Reed Exhibitions Greater China has responded to the “Blue Sky Exhibition Initiative” launched by the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration for Industry & Commerce, the National Copyright Administration and the State Intellectual Property Office. The aim of the program is to further enhance participants’ awareness of IPR protection issues at both inbound and outbound events.
To protect the trademarks, copyrights and patents of all participating companies, Reed Exhibitions will take the following measures:
• Post highly visible tips on IPR protection on its corporate and event websites during exhibitions.
• Distribute information on measures for protecting IPR during exhibitions.
• Offer expert advice on IPR protection during events, as well as the contact details of regulatory bodies for IPR protection and relevant legal service providers;
• Post IPR protection posters and the IPR infringement complaint hotline number at highly visible points on-site at its events in China;
• Contact the local regulatory authority on IPR protection in the event of any dispute over IPR at a show it has organized in China, to immediately resolve the issue;
• Invite IPR legal service providers to set up service counters at its events where IPR is an issue. These legal professionals will provide on-site IPR protection consultation services for exhibitors and visitors;
• Invite IPR legal service providers to give lectures on IPR protection during certain events;
• Keep close contact with regulatory bodies for IPR protection during exhibitions.
• Coordinate activities conducted by the state government's IPR departments for IPR protection during exhibitions.
