Totaling RMB 16 billion in investment, National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) is a large exhibition center co-built by Ministry of Commerce of China and Shanghai Municipal Government in 2011. And it is invested, constructed and operated by the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
With a total construction area of more than 1.5 million square meters, National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) is the largest comprehensive exhibition in the world, integrating exhibition, conference, activity, business, office, hotel and other business forms. The main building is shaped by the stretching and beautiful four-leaf clover. Moreover, it is one of the landmark buildings in Shanghai with a design concept of axis symmetry, reflecting many Chinese elements. Since National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) won the national three-star logo certification for green building operation and achieved a dual three-star certification for design and operation in 2020, it has become the first and largest large-scale three-star green building for exhibition in China.
Located in the core hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta and core area of Shanghai Hongqiao Business District, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) is only 1.5 kilometers away from the Hongqiao transportation hub in a straight line. It is closely connected with Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and Hongqiao Airport through the corridor, underground passage and Metro Line 2. The surrounding expressway network is accessible in all directions. It can arrive major cities in the Yangtze River Delta in 1 to 2 hours, and major economic cities in the Asia-Pacific in 2 to 3 hours by airplane.
With a breakthrough design and perfect functions, the National Exhibition and Convention Center faces the whole China and the world, based on the Yangtze River Delta.
