Since the WEPACK 2023(World Expo of Packaging Industry) and its SinoCorrugated 2023 and the series exhibitions were determined to be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China, on July 12-14, 2023, many institutions, associations and enterprises from home and abroad expressed strong support and said that they would come to participate in the exhibition.

Recently, on behalf of the World Packaging Organization (WPO) and its member units, the president of WPO Mr. Pierre Pienaar said that he would fully support the holding of the WEPACK 2023, SinoCorrugated 2023 and the series exhibitions, and would organize its member units to participate in the exhibition.

The following is the full text of Pierre Pienaar 's speech

A very good day to all of you and what it’s wonderful for me to be with you today. My name is Pierre Pienaar and I’m the president of the World Packaging Organization. The WPO is a over 60 member countries cross the globe with an incredibly powerful network. China is an important member of the top WPO and we dedicated to make global packaging market better for everyone around the world.

We are thankful and most appreciative of the cooperation that we have with WEPACK and the serious exhibitions such as SinoCorrugated, SinoFoldingCarton, Packcon and so on. I cannot wait to witness a gala event of a global packaging industry.

As a long term strategic partner, WPO will organize all our member countries for example ABRE from Brazil, Libanpack in Lebanon, Institute of Packaging of South Africa(IPSA) from South Africa, Australian Institute of Packaging(AIP) from Australia, JPI in Japan, IPF from Indonesia and s on, plus outstanding packaging companies like shubam pak from India and Takeda from United States to participate in WEPACK 2023 in Shanghai. We are delighted that the WPO could be the host of Global Corrugated Forum, WEPACK ASEAN opening ceremony and other on sight events.

The market demand has changed rapidly in recent years. There is no doubt that the WEPACK show is a benchmarking model in the packaging industry and it’s particularly important.
